DOWLING, Joseph George A 22 year Air Force Veteran and retired American Heart Association employee of 25 years, followed by 15 years as consultant, died of heart failure on October 30th surrounded by family at his home in Richardson, TX. He was 80 years old. Joe had a love for life and enjoyed people tremendously. He was an avid sports and drum and bugle corps enthusiast, and loved to travel. Joe was a founding member of St.

Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson and loved singing in the choir. He had a reputation for motivating American Heart volunteers across the USA and moved all over the world while in the Air Force. Joseph was born in Melrose, MA to Joseph A. and Rose V. Dowling and was brother to Mary Ellen.

He received his education at St. Mary's School and Melrose High School in Melrose, MA. He attended the NY Military Academy before joining the Army Air Corps and retired from the Air Force in 1968 after 22 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and loved his country. Joe was a devoted husband to his wife Edith Joyce for almost 59 years.

"Joe" Of West Attleboro, died unexpectedly Tuesday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Gail (Palmer) Arcuri, they had been married for over 37 years. He was born in Utica, New York, a son of Mary Louise (Glouse) Arcuri and the late John J.

Arcuri. He was a graduate of Proctor High School in Utica New York, a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Joe was an Amtrak employee for over 35 years, most recently an Acella Operator for the last 7 yrs. He has lived in Attleboro since 1990 coming from New York City. He had attended St.

Stephen's Church, was a member of the North Attleboro Gun Club. Loved animals, especially cats, our Ferrell cat family was well cared for over the years, we rescued about 50 kittens, all of which have good homes now. He loved the Railroad from a meager start in Hudson NY, to being in charge of the Empire Division to NY Penn Station, Boston Road Foreman, but the operation of the Acelia at 150 MPH was the best. He never forgot the people on his journey up the ladder to success. Amtrak will miss him almost as much as his wife will.
